Sales/This is how it works:

• Business owner makes sure buyer is a current member of the barter or trade organization.
• A trade is negotiated and a sales voucher or Scrip is prepared and signed by both buyer and seller.
• If sale is more than $75.00 seller calls the office of the organization for authorization to insure trade credits are available to transfer.
• The voucher or Scrip is forwarded to the barter or trade organization, usually within fourteen (14) days.
• Seller can then spend the new trade dollars. Tax and gratuity are still payable in cash.
• Price gouging is forbidden and no partial trades are permitted without direct authorization from the barter or trade organization.

Purchases/This is how it works:

• Purchaser must be a current member of the barter or trade organization.
• Purchaser must not owe excessive fees or be over credit limit in order to purchase.
• If purchase is more than $75.00 buyer calls the office of the organization for authorization to insure trade credits are available to transfer.
• Tax and gratuities cannot be paid in scrip--they must be paid in cash.
• Scrip may be used only once.
• Purchasers buying goods and services with scrip must expect to pay fair retail prices.
